Hostal Esparteros - Madrid

Proximity to Plaza Mayor was convenient.

We had a pleasant stay at this good budget hotel. Every detail of the property was good, all the staff were really friendly and very, very nice. Distance to the airport was just 16 miles.

The staff members were all polite, the rooms were new-fashioned with bathroom, balcony plus air con.

Staying in the Small Interior Double Room was decent, but the wardrobe situation was pretty sad-just a rail with a few hangers. The shower was a hassle too. The temperature kept switching from hot to cold, annoying. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Plus, we lucked out with an upgrade that gave us a sweet balcony and a view, nice to relax a bit.

The location was marvellous and good as it was within walking distance of bars and restaurants.

I asked for single room and it was well decorated with air con. An electric kettle and fridges were very handy. This location was perfect, really close to a € 80 taxi, all the main tourist attractions and Sol metro and plaza mayor.

Lovely stay with a fantastic shower experience

The air conditioning worked perfectly. I especially loved the shower with excellent pressure. The location was also wonderful, with proximity to key areas like Plaza Mayor and Plaza del Sol. Some extra space for luggage would be an improvement.

I had a fantastic stay at this venue, appreciating the beautifully decorated and bright rooms, as well as the incredibly friendly staff.

Clean room, fantastic location, with a comfortable bed and great shower experience, made it easy to unwind after exploring the nearby attractions.

Everything was perfect.

The room was impeccably clean! The little balcony was a good touch, offering a charming viewpoint to sip my tea while soaking up the lively city vibes.

A bit more space for luggage would be lovely.

Spent a few days enjoying the local attractions, including the nearby Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace of Madrid. The room was beautifully presented and had a lovely external view with a little balcony that added charm. It was especially nice to have a fridge and kettle in the room, making it easy to enjoy some refreshments. On the downside, the room was quite small, which made storing luggage a tight fit for our family vacation.

This hotel is nice, and has everything I need, like wi-fi, 24-hour reception, a tv, and an electric kettle. The staff helped me find great places during my first stay. Highly recommend!

My room felt cramped with hardly any room to store my bags, and the closet situation was a bit sad, just a rail with a few hangers. On some occasions, the shower temperature fluctuated unpredictably. Sometimes it went ice cold out of nowhere, made for an interesting morning routine. The patio doors in my room didn't close properly, letting in a bit too much street noise for my liking, quite distracting at night.

This place is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from plenty of bars and restaurants. The area has a great variety of options for food and drinks. 🍽️.
